Tuesday, May 7th, 2013, Boston, MA - Ben's Dream announces a grant to Dr. Kevin Flanigan at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH to initiate a natural history study for Sanfilippo Syndrome Types A & B. This will lead to human clincal trials targeted for 2014. Read the full release
Sunday, May 5th, 2013, Bloomington, MN - Dr. Sylvester Sanfilippo passed away on May 2nd, 2013. He first characterized MPS III 50-years ago in a presentation to the American Pediatric Society in 1963.

Saturday, May 4th, 2013, New York, NY - Dr. Sanjay Gupta profiles the efforts of Jonah's Just Begun Foundation to Cure Sanfilippo on the CNN-TV show Sanjay Gupta, MD at 4:30PM EST and Sunday, 5/5 at 7:30AM EST.

Saturday, May 4th, 2013, Bear Mountain, NY - Jonny Lee Miller, lead actor in the CBS-TV show "Elementary" runs 50-mile Ultramarathon to raise money for Sanfilippo Syndrome.

Tuesday, February 19th, 2013, New York, NY - Ben's Dream hits the Wall Street Journal in an article titled "Families Push for New Ways to Research Rare Diseases".
Monday, February 4th, 2013, Boston, MA - Ben's Dream announces a grant to Dr. N. Matthew Ellinwood at Iowa State University to create a Sanfilippo Syndrome Type D mouse model. This will create the first Type D platform for testing treatment options.
Wednesday, May 25th, 2011, Columbus, OH - Ben's Dream support of Dr. Haiyan Fu has resulted in her gene therapy research receiving a National Institutes of Health (NIH) U01 grant to move her work toward Human Clinical Trials.
